You blokes will be so damned thermal healthy you'll be able to pull the van and walk around Oz.
Seriously, I know how good I feel after a day or 2 of thermal soaking, but can you and anyone else relate their thermal pool experiences and changes/benefits they experienced as a result of their experiences.
I know the Katherine hot spring in June is like a spa in soda water, rather than just a still, hot pool. But if you don't take a towel with you, and the sun sets while you're wallowing, it's a long, cold run back to the park showers. But we survived it.

Chris, I think everyone will relate in a different way to how they may feel. My self I find that if you stay too long in the real hot ones it realy drains the energy, which makes you have a good nights sleep. the first couple of days it brings out all the aches & pains , can feel very sore in the muscles, then you come good.

I would like to know some of the experiences too. Never been in a hot spring and only ever been in a spa once. When I got out my legs were so weak they didn't want to hold me up
Whats it all about as I would love to try it and also find out for myself someday.

Marj - have been in a few thermal pools - it is like having a Radox bath with continuous bubbles, and it doesn't go cold. It can be very draining on your energy, but you do indeed sleep well afterwards. The one in Lightning Ridge - which is a bore bath, not really running, think it must fed from an artesian spring or something, has a notice re people with heart problems etc., not staying in too long - the one in Katherine is like a creek - so running, and they have built structures, steps etc and a little wall, that you can sit under, and it runs on your back. So relaxing.

I spent 3 days in Rotarua NZ many years ago. The pools are graded by heat, and it's vital you don't exceed the recommended time limit. There's a cooling pool which doesn't have a time limit, but it's only about 32deg C.
Otherwise you get that drained feeling and it can lead to fainting.
I bought a bottle of the salts and it lasted about 12 months. I never had a pain for about 12 months.
Must be time for a thermal wallow.
