Been here nearly 7 weeks and have mixed feelings about going home. Interesting place but not us. It was great to see the travellers mixing very well with a great attitude to the variables they face. Kalgoolie Boulder has an interesting history and worth investigating.
The super pit tour, museums. brothel tour and the various bus type of tours are high on the list. The Dome in Hannan street a great breakfast and hotel meals vary, local information at the time helps.
One thing we appreciate even more now is Adelaide, we are 4 seasons, coastal people and are looking forward to our next assignment. I have been suggesting when going to and from Kalgoorlie to look at Fraser Range and although we haven't seen it yet believe from the positive comments that it is a good stop for the weary. 280k's a bit close for us from here and hope to get to Eucla in one hit. Pat not too happy about leaving early but will appreciate the motel late afternoon instead of in the dark.
Safe travels, and with a bit of luck you'll have tail winds across the Nulla. You don't want northerlies or southerlies. Those cross winds can get really cross and make it hard to drive and tow. You may meet up with yeoeleven who's heading west from Eyre Peninsula some time in the next few days. Maybe call in on your way through. PM if you get a chance.
