WA doesn't need daylight saving either. They get to use it for longer after all you eastern staters are finished with it. SA has it, so I'll have to change all my watches and clocks and I hate it, especially when travelling from state to state. It's bad enough without tampering with time.

Only takes a couple of days to get in the right gear for it and then its lovely. Those great long nights of sun are wonderful in summer where it doesn't get dark till around 10pm. I didn't put my clocks forward till this morning, so I didn't miss out on my hours sleep.
It is a heated issue in WA. Infact it can arguably be claimed to be the downfall of governments. It was introduced as a trial for a couple of years and then the govt was ousted. Every year around the time for introduction the papers are swamped with letters for and against.
