Milo It is too cold here to get out of bed an hour earlier. I think I'll just pretend my watch has stopped.

Surely you don't need to get out of bed at any specific time kandagal for it to be a bother to you.

We don't have daylight saving - us Queenslanders are smart enough to know how to tell the time without tinkering with the clocks

WA doesn't need daylight saving either. They get to use it for longer after all you eastern staters are finished with it.
SA has it, so I'll have to change all my watches and clocks and I hate it, especially when travelling from state to state. It's bad enough without tampering with time.

confuse After all these years, I still haven't managed to "save any daylight?"

If anyone has managed to save any, could you please tell me if they pay or add interest on your account?confuse

Only takes a couple of days to get in the right gear for it and then its lovely. Those great long nights of sun are wonderful in summer where it doesn't get dark till around 10pm.
I didn't put my clocks forward till this morning, so I didn't miss out on my hours sleep.

It is a heated issue in WA. Infact it can arguably be claimed to be the downfall of governments. It was introduced as a trial for a couple of years and then the govt was ousted. Every year around the time for introduction the papers are swamped with letters for and against.

For now, I have to agree with Dunco - I hate that it gets dark at 4 in the afternoon here - for what feels like 9 months of the year!
