I have a real penchant for Church Grave yards....Sad part is no one wants buy a painting of that....but I really think they are neat.

Lets have a look Amanda Jane,....and yes I agree Wombat,

I am not much of a photographer...more a point and shoot..I use a camera more for me to remember a subject to Paint. I rarely ever spend much time thinking about the image quality, AND wish I did! Although I did a photographic component in my degree and learnt to change film cartridges in the dark...So useless now I am sure...ha ha.

I am with you Boroma577, I love old Cemeteries, and really could spend hours wondering around them. I have a wonderful image from America ...I will hunt it down, I am sure you would all like it......It was the best cemetery I have ever been to!

Cheers

As amateur genealogists, we chase cemeteries too. Part of the quest is to photograph the ancestor's grave.

As well as photographing the headstone in order to get the details there, we always take a shot of the cemetery gates.

After some years of this quest, we have been astonished at the large variety of cemetery entrances around. Some are plain country gates, some are quite ornate and some are floral/gardens.

There are indeed some quirky burial places out there.
