On the road at last

Hi all you recycled teenagers,

Well Im now on my way (five week trip) Up the east coast from Melb.

First night at Bruthen small but very friendly and the amenities block fully renovated with community shed ,like a drovers cottage , was very clean and accomodating. would recommend it to you and at the right price.

Heading for Eden to visit Friends and  will stay a few days...will post when I move on .

All systems functioning  and loving it...... Stay safe..biggrin

Congratulations you have been working towards this for some time.

Have an excellent time, tomorrow is the first day of the rest of your life so live it to the full.

My philosophy is just that, go out and live it large.

John

Agree with that - just go for it and have fun.
G;day John - hows the Nullarbor going? It's a long road isn't it? But one well worth doing.

Sounds like some great country you're travelling though and Eden is beautiful as well. Must be 20 years since I was that way. Safe travels and great that you're on the road.

thank you all for your input .....
Had a 4day eden stop and it was great....then went to Canberra and visited the VN war memorial and was in tears with my own memories - it closed a chapter in my life (was a long time over due) and journyed on to the coast at a place called Depot Beach north of Batemans Bay in the national park ....met some interesting people and a sketch for my travel log--this i'm finding calming and healing.
then moved to Jarvis Bay at Green Beach and spent two days ..again more fasinating people......and another sketch walked the beach and let the sun and sea embrace me.
to day at 630 am my grandson called and informed me that I was officialy "A GREAT GRAND FATHER" AND NOT TO RUSH BACK AS THEY WHERE NOT GOING ANYWHERE ' ...So Im turning in land for the Blue Mountains in a round about way to home ...at present at the Moss Vale CP..After the riggers of McQuarey Pass i need the rest for the next leg .
So far every little thing is to be seen and marveled at just what a wonderful place we live in especialy if we get out of the cities WOW is now my catch cry.
Will deffinately catch up at the get together--Gunbower and or Greens Lake I will have Kissed the Baby Boy's head by then see you in the soup all you fab people NU one!!!
(P.S please excuse the spelling But I'm Dislexic -cant spell)

Hey Nu one that's my country - I was born in Carcoar which is about 55km from Cowra - so make sure you check it out, it's an fascinating town, very well preserved as a 19th century village and the hospital is the oldest nsw inland hospital I believe. There's lots of history there, gold mining and bushrangers and the first nsw bank robbery and the first inland railways. Abercrombie caves is well worth seeing and there are some great villages off the main highway. Keep enjoying.

Lucky you. I will definitely put Greens on my list as a long stopover and hope to get there next year on my way through. In the meantime I'm off on a demolition derby on the 5th of next month as some poor bugga attemtps to reach me how to reverse. Luckilly there will be no photo's as I will steal all the cameras while everyone is at the recovery bbq.
