You just don't know who is going to come knocking on your door in the dead of night.
Seriously. Last night about 8pm maybe 8.30pm Sitting in JazzinArounds van chatting, out at Greens Lake. When there was a knocking on the door. Opened it and this man says."You wouldn't have Marj in there would you"
There was Gubby and Mrs Gubby. What a wonderful sight. They had made it back to Victoria be it in the dark, but they did find us from a txt I sent."Down the far end, down by the water."
So we all climbed into the caravan and chatted while they cooked and ate tea finally getting off to bed about 11pm.
Had breakfast together this morning sitting in glorious sunshine before they had to head off. But he did give Myrtle a big HUG, a check over and even fixed a little wire in the cupboard. What a wonderful man.
He ended up getting 3 big HUGs from me. One when he arrived, One when he fixed the wire and one when they were leaving. I also gave Mrs Gubby a big HUG when they were leaving too.
What a lovely couple, a joy to spend that time with them. Looking forward to visiting them on my travels when I can get down there.
Next week that is my first port of call...Can't believe I'v never been there......Gee! Hope I crack a couple of hugs....I'll be on my own so I may have too hug a Tree.....Is there many the marj? And is there fish

Also lots fishing off the bank right down the end where we were camped. Plenty of places to camp also Jimbo. What day do you think you will be there??

Hi Marj, Could you fill me in on the latest for Greens. I ducked up to Elmore Field day the other day and drove out to Greens to see if you were there. I think I read you might have gone up for a night or so. No one I recognized just tht large bus we saw last time. It had moved down the bank a little further I think. I am still hoping to be up there for a night or two. Maybe the Monday through Wednesday of cup week. Am heading to wilsons prom from there for a few nights with my daughter and family then to New South for nanna duties. Looking forward to meeting any and all who may be there. Cheers Tess
Hi Tess. Yes I was there Friday and Saturday, right down the far end next to the channel. Was going earlier but the weather turned bleak. JazzinAround was there in her motorhome with a friend in his Ford Transit van, both down by the channel. Not sure who will be there Mon through to Wednesday of cup week as that is the long weekend and will be very busy down there. I can't get there till probably Wednesday or even late Tuesday. Would like to pop back again over the next week but the weather is turning bad again till at least next weekend. Its such a relaxing spot will head down as soon as we get a few days of warm sunshine again.
Marj - seems like you have found your "spiritual home" at Greens Lake!!!! Sure hope the sun shines while I am in Victoria!!!!!! Taking the bowls - may see you on the road and have a roll somewhere Jimbo - Norma now has her own bowls, and will have them with her. She is a phenomonal bowler for such a newbie at it! Much respect for the woman.

Jules, I find it just far enough away from home to get away and relax without it costing too much. While paying out to get all the power I need on board I don't need much more than some food which I would need at home anyway. Its only an hour away so not costing much for fuel and I can come home if the weather turns nasty. I'm sure in another month when you all arrive it will have warmed up and be beautiful. Thats why I said from the beginning not before November as it is too cold here. The last time I was over there for the 3 days it was in the high 20s, that was one out of the box and hasn't warmed up since. So cold this morning I didn't want to get out of bed but the sun is out now and blue skies. By the end of this month I should have bought all my items I need for power and will be just waitng to have it all installed. Waiting, waiting!! But at least I know I will have it all there when S.in.L finds the time.
I agree Marj, just an hour up the road is great. You know you have a warm dry place to retreat to if need be. I'll keep aiming for the Monday and see how I go. Did you go to the far right or left when you went in? I was thinking further down than you were parked when we met up. I did take a drive around but couldn't recognize anyone just that big old bus that was there before. Not long to go now..... Tess
