In his Esperance thread, yeoeleven notes the annual concession pass available to national parks in WA at $50 for a year.
I have just renewed mine, as I find it excellent value.
Is a similar arrangement available in other States?
Would be very useful on a long trip, but on my last visit to Sydney (couple of years back) I found that a WA Seniors Card was not accepted. However, I have a feeling that maybe we are now all being treated as members of one country, rather than six colonies.
All advice welcome.
Cheers, Tony

Agree the annual Parks passes are usually excellent value.
I think it varies from state to state, whether they are available. I know that Tasmania has an annual pass. NSW has a couple of different levels of pass; from memory, the cheaper one gives access to most parks, but not those very close to Sydney, or in the Snowy Mts - you have to pay a bit more for a pass that includes those. SA certainly has the Desert Parks Pass - not sure about a general one.
Googling each State's National Parks service should give you the individual information.
Even if Vic is heaps less than that, I'll not touch it !!! Just change registration on a car from NSW to Vic - the rigmaroll was incredible. Cost best part of $1,000 for the roadworthy and the "repairs" that they mandated.
WA Reg about $75 pa and no stamp duty when buying a carvan/camper trailer. Does not apply to campervans and motorhomes though I understand, stamp duty on my campervan was about $900, can't remember the rego cost, but normal rates whatever they are.
