Yes AJ it's arid, but the colours are spectacular and change with the direction of the sun.
In places it's like a moonscape.

Beautiful stuff John. When you see how desolate it is out in those outback areas it really makes me wonder why so many white fellas (including me) are so attracted to it. Just feel comfortable being there but I suppose if it were the middle of summer and we couldn't have a bit of comfort like our vehicles and vans etc. there with us we would have a different opinion. Probably helps that we can choose the time and conditions that suit us.
