Geez Pauline, the b***dy towels are such a pest!!! Having a pop-top, we usually hang them over the internal lifting rail, but they are in your face there. Or we hang them outside on a little airer that attaches to the outside of the van, and thats a nuisance too. We experimented with those micro-fibre quick-dry towels but they didnt feel "right" to dry ourselves with.

Please, let us know if you find a solution!?

Just found this on another forum and I think that is what I was thinking of. It is called the Everloc system from K Mart or Big W, would be just the thing if it works as stated, was just wondering if anyone here had tried them.

In our camper trailer we have a length of rope permanently attached across one end inside the tent bit. Being canvas walls the towels dry with the heat of the day. They are in sight but flat against the wall so not noticable.

have not used them but I just did a silly thing, I sent a link to Mrs W computer, I may have to get to her pooter b4 she see's it biggrin

I have a soap dish and set of double hooks in the shower at home and so far have not had any problems with them coming off but then again they only have light things in them. They have a plastic disk on the back and you push them up tight onto the surface and then screw the knob in he middle, a bit like attaching the holder for the GPS to te windscreen

I've just bought an ezyline but of course they are for outside. Haven't used it yet, would have to hang between two poles/trees etc.
I've only ever hung my towel over the outside mirror so far. There is an elastic rope all the way around when I put the pop top up. If I used that I think it would be drawing down on the canvas and maybe causing damage.
So really I can't help either, sorry.

We use the eveloc suction towel hooks, toilet paper holder and sink detergent holder and find them good as theres no drilling holes in the van.
When installing them they fell off after a day so had to resort to reading the instructions and installing them correctly and have been great ever since.

When all else fails, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!!!
I think it's a bloke thing, not reading the instructions, that is.
There are a couple of curtain cables in my van's bathroom, so that's where the towel goes when I'm travelling.
When I'm on the road for work my towel hangs over the passenger head rest for the day. It dries well there.
Gadgets, gadgets, gadgets. Where would be be without them.
Someone stays up all night designing gadgets so that we suckers can get sucked in and buy them.
Some are great accessories, while others are just a waste of cash.
But always remember to read the instructions.

No CG, its not a guy thing. Its always been my motto. If all else fails, Read the instruction.

Talking about gadgets, I took a bag load to the op shop the other day, been in the cupboard for years, never opened. It feels good having a cleanout.

I got an Everloc hook from Bunnings. So far so good. Must go and have a look to see if there are more products in the range..

Talking of which.. Paper Towel holders. Often need to have paper towels to hand. I store in cupboard and by the time I get them have dripped and smeared everything...wondering if there is one I can stick somewhere convenient that won't uravel during travel.

Yes ChiChi they have a paper holder, if you look on the link Womby put up they are all there.

The paper towel roll is great for fitting in between stuff when I pack up the kitchen for travelling. Whether its a full fat one or a skinny empty one its always useful. Different story when we are parked up though, need a proper holder or something, so will try that too... and thanks for the link Wombat.

We have the above in our house bathroom and they work well.

They are a suction unit that you put on a smooth surface then press firmly to have them hold, approximately every three weeks we need to push them again for maximum strength. The beut part is they are simple to remove by just pulling a tag. They are extremely strong and do hold a fair bit of weight and would hold a wet towel. No glues or holes needed.

Marg, if you van is like mine and has the pull down spring things for locking the roof down inside (two on each side), the middle of the hook is like a T piece, I tie a cord around one end and then the other end, leave a bit loose, can use when stopped or travelling with the wet towel. Leave cord in place all the time. Also use my mirror or the end of my roll out awning if the weather is good when stopped.

A small fold out clothes line is good for outside in nice weather or under awning if you have the room. With my caravan, I ran a rope/cord between the arms of my awning to hang the towels over when wet, or the awning arms themselves if it wasn't raining.

It was always a problem to me with the little Leisurelite Camper. I ended up draping it across the top of 'stuff' in the back of the car near the rear window. it dried in the sun and the bonus was it'd hide all the 'stuff'.

I also carried a free standing drying rack for when I was set up.

Now that I have the little Nipper, I guess I'll actually be able to hang a towel properly!

Thanks Womby. I shouldn't have looked at that. Will have to restrain myself next visit to Bunnings. I could use a number of things in the van. And then theres the house...Oh dear...

Also have one of those round things with pegs on which will be ideal for smalls.

we put a heated towel rail in the toilet and just pin the edges together with a clothes peg each end

a chamois solves all of the above problems & you can dry the shower cubicle after use. just roll up the chamois when finished.

I tried that once...didn't like it..prefer a real towel...but whatever works for you.

I would have to agree Beth I prefer towels myself and I don't know how many I would need to dry the old fella.
