Weird foods

I was just wondering what weird, strange or oddball foods (or food combinations people like).

I just saw Fairy-Nuff eating a vegemite and honey sandwich - which I thought was pretty strange!

I love raw vegetables, especially raw cabbage and raw brocolli.  Raw brocolli as a snack with some dip - YUM!

For me, especially in summer, I like a slice of bread with peanut butter and cucumber sliced on top.  Yummy!!

For him, for breakfast, peanut butter and honey on toast.

I've never thought Peanut Butter and Honey was wierd. It's been popular for over 60 years that I know of. Also Cheese and Apricot or Pine-apple Jam.  They just compliment each other beautifully.

Something like Banana with Tomato Sauce I would think of as wierd.

Cheers,

Sheba.

Don't know what's happening.  Double-posted, because my posts were appearing at the Bottom of the page, instead of the top.

So now it's back to normal.  Would love to know what happened there.

Cheers,

Sheba.

Doesn't seem too weird to me, in fact I think I'll try it!

Likewise Goinsoon's curried egg and pickle!

thanks, a couple of ideas there!

PS:Think I'll stay clear of the vinegar on Loffty's cheese and onion though

Make sure you cream the egg when you mash it (a little sour cream)

(1) I like sausage roll in a nice long fresh white roll.
(2) Ice cream with corn flakes or coco pops.

I know I am strange but don't knock it till you try it.

Or coleslaw dressing, that's the one that I use. (must try the sour cream).   Grate up a little bit of carrot (optional), fine chopped red onion (not too much), Bolst curry powder (that's the brand), fine chopped iceberg lettuce (optional), (give the cabbage a miss....too much H2S!)....yep! and crusty wholemeal dodger spread with avocado!

Great lunchbox tucker! the filling doesn't spill everywhere either.

PS: don't insult your taste buds by using supermarket bread (I use the term "bread" loosely)

Then there's the friend of ours who loves slices of orange on bread or in a sandwich, and also speculaas (sweet spicy) biscuits on bread -- but then he is Dutch, so we make allowances...   confuse.gifbiggrin
