I agree when we were at Longreach, really wanted to see Qantas museum, couldn't believe the prices they wanted ........we gave it a miss and just took lots of photos.

I'll be doing the same thing Pauline......I love to know the history of the places I visit but just cannot justify the cost to view it and I do like to see the less popular parts (read non tourist) of the place
We did that in 2006, hubby loved it and I thought it was okay, but I think you have to really be into everything country, rodeo, droving etc etc etc , he is .............I'm not.

My father was a drover so I was brought up with the real thing and I think that possibly crueled it for me. A lot of what was there was portrayed incorrectly even some info about RM himself.
Hubby did a fair bit of droving when he was about 17, 18, and just remembers it as being so fantastic..............I suppose memories are what keeps us going.
ive never said anything about the hall of fame and their tourist shop but im glad someone else feels like i did. way overpriced to be able to say "Ive been there"
