Camping Gumercha SA

I was looking for a free camp at Gumercha. I was visiting the National Motor Museum at Birdwood. I consulted my CMCA book and it said to ask to park at the back of the Gumercha hotel. I found the hotel at Gumercha but the Proprietor said he did not know about it but said that I could stay in their carpark. I had a beer and chatted to the locals. All very freindly. I went back to to my van to get the book and show the publican. He said "you have got the wrong pub" That one is in the Torrens valley! It was Sunday night and the pub had a roast dinner available for $12. A great value 2 course roast dinner that seemed to attract many of the locals. Give it a try if you are in the area.
