Whoopsy, thought I added not took away, sorry guys. eyepopping.gif

It was an add in the Mitre 10 catalogue for a solar charger that can be used to charge mobiles, cameras, GPS and ipods etc.

It was a portable little thing you can attach to your backpack and charge up as you go along.

$99 was the price and I wondered if anyone had seen or used one.

When I blank out my kids call it a seniors moment, had one yeterday in fact. They seem to come on a regular basis these days. I mention them to my GP and he has pleasure in saying "well Doug you are getting older" all those years of training he had to do just to tell me that.

Hi FF,

I use a solar charger for my AA batteries, stick them in, close the unit and put it on my dashboard, (see pic below) you can get one here

If you Just want a couple of AAA batteries charged use a solar light like we use around our rigs at night. Just dont worry about the cover jsut add the battereis put it out in the sun or on the dash and let them charge. Only a couple of dollars at Bunny's
Plus you got a light if need be.

Thats pretty close Smokey. You can plug your phone in and it charges as you trek along. It looked like a good idea but I just can't find it on their site at all. no
