We recently stayed in this lovely little quiet town which has only one CP and is managed by Gail....p&w sites are $16pn for 2AD`s, amenties were spotless and a gentle walk to town if required.
Friends were there last year and highly recommneded to place and after experiancing a first class carol service on Sunday night with 500 locals plus kids in attendance would also agree.
For those unsure of whereabouts...it`s about 80k south of Nyngan on the Bogan Gate Rd which is sealed all the way....so if you looking for another road less travelled to head west and onto Broken Hill from Sydney, try the following: Gt Western Highway to Orange, LT and head to Parkes via Cudal & Manildra, then head west again to Bogan Gate which is roughly 40k`s, then take the Trundle/Nyngan road before heading to Cobar, Wilcannia & BH.
The whole western region is a picture as present, just green, green, green with water laying beside the roads or in paddocks & it looks like the harvest has been completed safely, so hope they make a killing this year after so long in drought conditions.
had two nights in that very park, had a cpl of beers in the pub, also had a few shots at the Clay target Club behind the golf course now that was "different". nevertheless, nice folks & friendly little town, had dinner in the bowls club across the road from the C.P. very good also!
