Wow what a stunning place! First time here for us. Missed all the Get-togethers. We stopped off at Yarrawonga but there were heaps of people and it was very dusty on the riverside. There's lots of people here too but not too dusty.
Think we will stay awhile !!
Happy New Year to all Gn's - have a happy, healthy and safe 2012 xx
Jimbo and Dunworkin found us!! We now have met Norma, Marj and Cruising Granny too. We were way down the other end of the lake. Now have an even more stunning park, right on the lake front !! Yippeeeeeee !!!!
I've arrived home in the cool of the evening after meeting another lovely/great/neat group of nomads. Went down Thursday afternoon after spending the morning at Echuca A&E with my daughter who was suffering a nasty attack of gallstones, 12hr of horrible pain. So I got there Thursday arvo to a freshly mown piece of lawn, fence to keep out interlopers and Jimbos bike parked there to make it look busy.
It was so neat to meet the new Greens Lakers, Donnybabes, Val n Rob and Cruisin Granny who was on her way home from a job up to Emerald. We are getting quite a list of visitors who are calling in to see just what a great spot it is. Lynnie called in for lunch to meet everyone being a newbie herself. Ken Thomas called in to check up and make sure we were all behaving ourselves. The others were regulars, Jimbo, Myself, Nu-One, ShadyandMe.
Last night was just great, they estimate at least 1,000 people there. Fireworks, revelry, a few yahoos, police patrolling to keep everyone in order and the ambulance only came out twice that I know of.
A big difference to another time I stayed there when I was only one of three campers.
