Happy New Year to you also, and to all the Solo GN out there!  I plan to do the Big Lap ~ April and look forward to the camp fellowship! 

I am getting my HiAce poptop ready for free camping (replacing the small original house battery with 2X105AH AGM's, adding a portable 100W solar panel & controller, upgrading some of the higher draw devices, E.g. fridge, with heavier cables to reduce resistance etc.).

I spent four months last year travelling in S QLD testing the van and the lifestyle, it was great!

Hi Anton,

I'm hoping to get nomading in a couple of months. Perhaps I'll see you out there.  I'm interested in your solar setup.  I know nothing about it but want to go free camping too.  Do you know of a web site that explains how to go about setting up solar power on a campervan?  Good luck with your travels.
