Travel From Sale Victoria to Sydney

Hi Guys, Happy New year to all. I am travelling to Sale from Sydney via Burrill Lake, Narooma and Lakes Entrance over a 10 day trip, I'd like to return by another route back to Sydney, I prefer to travel on sealed roads and probably take about a week. Any suggestions about a route and places of interest along the way would be appreciated

At this time of year the Alpine Way is absolutely beautiful. While its a climb, I think it would be fine with a caravan on. Bright is a nice spot for a stop, theres plenty to see/do.
And from Albury instead of the Hume Highway, try the Olympic Way to Wagga, theres a couple of nice towns along there, Culcairn, Holbrook, Tarcutta, all worthy of exploring.
From Wagga, come back to Sydney via the beautiful city of Canberra, then Goulburn before rejoining the Hume Highway for a fairly easy drive back to the Big Smoke. You will have a contrast to the coastal towns and some variety on this route.

PM me if you are coming to Canberra, and I'll put the kettle on!

The caravan park at Orbost is lovely for an overnight stay. A longer stay could be pleasant too if you want to take day trips to the mountains or coast.

I agree with both GD and A, I have done the Alpine Road trip from Lakes Entrance to Albury twice. You should also stay at the Bright Caravan Park, there are some lovely shaded sites and a lovely creek running right through the middle. I personally wouldn't like to tow anything over 18foot over the mountain but that could be just me. Lake Hume Caravan park is also well worth a look/stay and is only about 12 km east of Albury just try and get a site on the water edge if you can much nicer than the ones in the middle. The water edge ones are on dirt and the inside ones are grassed, take your pick. The manager is not all that friendly but hey you don't stay with him. On your way down though you might like to check out Tathra Tourist Park but it would be booked solid until end January I should think. I had better stop before this turns into a novel. Like GD just PM me.
