Free camping in Tassy

G'day!

It's been some time since I was on this site so there may not be many that would remember me, to those that do Iv'e been wandering around the country and found myself forking out big time to get the old SAR Kenworth and 40ft pantech on the boat down here.

And here I am, still haven't got the travel bug out of the system and hopefully never will, but I lashed out and bought fifty acres of fantastic country right at the mouth of the Tamar River looking into Bass Straight (on a clear day I can almost see Sydney)

The property is covered in pine trees and other species, I have a private access road to the Tamar river (about half a mile) the wildlife is amazing (more than you can count) roos, wallabys, wombats, possums, sea eagles, all sorts of birds  , the property is completely isolated and private with about forty five minutes drive to Launceston.

When my base was at Mission Beach I offered free camping in a rain forest to any passing Nomad, well no one took up the offer much to mine and other Nomads surprise, well the offer is open again down here, there is no power (I have a diesel generator) but possibly the best little possy in Tas, a helping hand with some stick raking would be nice in return for a place to call base while your in the area.

I'm thinking of buying a Schooner and doing some more sailing (if I can find a crew) and using Tassy as a summer haven and doing a runner in winter for the warmer parts of the planet, any one interested?

If you want to have a captin cook at the property I will post a vid on the forum if thats possible or on You tube if not I already have a channel on You tube but have not as yet uploaded any vid's of the property but have a deco any way and if I get any requests for a vid I will upload a few.

Regards the Roadranger.

(for those of you that haven't twiged yet "Roadranger" is a truck gearbox usualy 18 speed, besides the mack "Quad box" it's the best Iv'e ever used)

How do we find your place. We also offer free camping on our property in W.A. during winter. We arrive in Tassie last week in Jan until 18th March. We have a few places to go to already, however another place to spend time at will be good.
