portable toilets

I read somewhere that it is possible to use vinegar instead of chemicals in

portable toilets, would anyone have any information as to the mix ratio of

vinegar to water ?

Vinegar is a new chemical to me, not heard of it being used for porta-potties. To me the smell would be worse than not using anything. The cheapest chemicals you can use is the nappy soakers from Woolies or Coles. They have a higher percentage of the active ingredient than Nappysan.
