Just some info for anyone passing through Denmark, I spent a couple of nights at the River Bend Caravan Park (nice setting on the banks of the Denmark River), cost was $25 a night for singles).
Then at Elle's invitation coordinated by John (Yeoeleven......otherwise known by me as "Rubber Tramp" after watching one of his movies on solo travel) stayed one night in my van at Elle's farm and retreat (thanks Elle, what a beautiful farm and retreat you have and such a variety of animals)
Elle's cottages and chalets have commanding views over the hills. Elle's main residence and office (not shown here) is on top of the hill overlooking the cottages/chalets, and further down below the cottages/chalets is the backpacker (woofers) accomodation (not shown) where Yeo is staying and where I parked my van overnight to stay in.
To give you an idea of what a magic place it is, see this link that has photo's on it that shows a lot more, heaps more animals of various kinds also there not shown in the pic, including ducks, guinea fowl, chooks etc....
I left early for Denmark to send some emails in a park, do some ablutions and stock up with water and supplies, meeting John outside the IGA where he stocked up for our joint vehicle trip to Cosy Corner (East) on the beach (about half way between Denmark and Albany, see Camps 6).
Another magic spot and cost is free, you will need your own water and power source, unisex toilet in the camping area, further down the beach at Cosy Corner (west) is a day area that has more toilets and an outside shower (cold water). We both found a camping spot to suit our needs, I had one in a nice shady spot while John chose one in the sun for his solar panel, so both happy with our choices.
After two days in this great spot, I left for Denmark and John was heading to Albany later that morning before returning to Karrak Reach. As I needed power for my auxillary battery which had been powering my fridge for two days without a problem (and one night previously at Elle's place) I decided to book into the River Mouth Caravan park for a night, wow, not cheap, at $35 for a single and $40 for a double (peak season) compared to $25 a night for a single at River Bend Caravan Park where I had stayed earlier.
Stayed one night there at Rivermouth, had a very nice spot on the edge of the rivermouth inlet before heading off again, the weather in Denmark that day was very hot and humid although it had been beaut up till then. Had no set plans and met up with my niece who lives in Denmark (she has a doctorate of Marine Critters) and was attending swimming lessons for her son at Green Pool in William Bay Road. After leaving there I drove to the Ranger Camp at Shannon National Park, $6 a night for pensioner with toilet and hot showers (wood fired).
Next day was hot and humid again, so decided to cut my trip short and headed for the air conditioned comfort of home near Perth and be home for Australia Day, arriving later that afternoon. The Perth area is a lot hotter than down south in general and you can feel the heat rise the closer you get to Perth, February is usually a stinker in Perth, so not looking forward to Feb.
PS: For anyone visiting the Bunbury area they have a great Australia Day Celebration in the city at night with carnival rides etc for the kids too. The time I went there a beautiful coold breeze from the ocean was in and was a terrific relief to the heat earlier in the day.

Cosy corner is still a nice spot JC, I believe it has been done up a bit fairly recently, it is also free so that is a bonus.
Parry's Beach is great too Jon, also better fishing in my experience than Cosy Corner, I think the cost may have risen by a dollar to $8, or was when I was there a year or so ago, may even be more now, but for anyone wanting to know a google will bring it up. It is only 21kms from Denmark so not far to run into town for supplies etc if needed. They do advise you to not drink the water there (or cosy corner west end) unless you boil it.
Going into Denmark on the South Coast Highway from the west, just before you reach the bridge, turn left and at the north end of the small park (just north of the toilet block) you will see a metal box which has a fresh mains water tap belonging to the Water Corporation, good place to fill up your tank or bottles. You can drive into the small track where it is situated.

We did have a good time at Cosy Corner East the weather was good and the sun's heat was tempered by the ocean breezes.
it is a nice walk down the beach to Cosy Corner West where the day trippers have their ablutions block and access to the internet is available from the tables well set out.
One of the nicest spots I been for a long time John, thanks for suggesting we go there, it was well worth the visit, on my list to go to again if ever I'm down that way.......
Watching this bloke fold his shower tent on video, what a show off, he makes it look so easy, must try mine one day, still in the bag never used. See;
And I thought he was saying "Hell", "Hell", "Hell" under his breath when he was wrestling with it......so it must have been....grrrrrr...."Elle", "Elle", "Elle"
