RE: What's the weather like where you are?

We are in Portland in Victoria. Weather is quite nice and balmy. It is going to get warmer as the week progresses. It's great to be travelling again.

We are having a few days spell from travelling , at Hivesville Qld. ( near Murgon and Kingaroy .) , and the Boondooma dam .

Days are beautiful . Around 30 / 32 degrees . Evenings storms the last 3 nights , but not a lot of rain . Some areas in SE Qld. have copped some bad ones though .

Oh, yeah, the weather in Adelaide is warm, mid-high twenties, dry, and slightly overcast.
More autumn than summer.

Yesterday, 13th we had two massive storms an hour apart.

Big rain in both, the second was so heavy that gutters overflowed, along with very strong winds. The gauge had 70ml but I would tend to think more like 100+ becaure of the wind force,  not too much horozontal rain gets into a small gauge.

Raining cats & dogs in Canberra at the moment. Last couple of days have been the same. Nice and Sunny in the morning, about 29degrees, then about 5 o'clock down comes the rain. Really heavy and yesterday hailed. Are we getting Darwin's wet season?

Bowling at Canungra (SE Qld) - got rained off - on way home - hail the size of marbles - pulled into a carport on a side road. Went for about 10 minutes. Closer to Beaudesert - had not rained at all, nor here in Boonah - must be some storm activity around though, tv is pixillating all over the place.

We had a emergency announcement over the tv a few minutes ago. This whole area of Vic is in for thunderstorms, heavy rain, floods and hailstorm sometime soon.
I looked on the BOM site, they had put a warning up at 4.28pm. Tie everything down, keep out of waterways etc. So I rang the nomads out at Greens Lake to warn them. Give them time to tie it all down and take in awnings.
Said it was covering the area from Swan Hill, Echuca, Bendigo, Shepparton and down to Castlemaine.

Hot - 33 - 35 here in the Scenic Rim (SE Qld) - clouds have rolled in - looks stormy, but could just blow right through - bit unpredictable at the moment - only thing they get right is - hot!
Have friends staying just out of Echuca at the moment - hope they get the storm warming - all camping at what was the nudist camp, now a caravan park, well I hope so, the sight of that lot naked would make a grown man cry!biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

9.30pm at Cooma.. there's been two hours of noisy thunder and lightning with lots of rain (fortunately only light winds); we've been followed by storms since Corrying several days back and through Kosciusko National Park region but tonight's a ripper!

Here's hoping the air will be cleared for fine weather after this.

Canberra 9.50pm... your storm has been here too rrox, looks set to last the night. We arrived home this evening after Mulwala last night. It was a bit wet there and the forcast wasnt good so we decided to come home instead, travelled slower due to intermittent rain all the way. The forcast here is for more rain/showers tomorrow but sunny later in the week when you get here!
