it's a free download from Amazon.com you then purchase books online and start reading, I have not made a purchse yet, have only just downloded the program
If you want to read a whole book, the e-readers are the way to go. The "e-ink" type display is much easier on the eyes than lcd type screens even though they are only black and white.
I have re-posted because my last one was marked as spam, I guess because I mentioned a Brand name. You don't need to purchase books to read on your computer or e-reader. Libraries such as Yarra Plenty and Brisbane allow you to borrow for up to 4 weeks and I think you can have 10 out at a time. You can join online. Yarra Plenty's website is www.yprl.vic.gov.au

It is a problem when one is travelling Aus to pick up books from a liburay in one state and return them to another state, they don't allow that in WA.
Amazon's very savvy and they've actually made the Kindle reading software available for a wide range of devices, ranging from Apple iPads and Android tablets to smartphones and, yes, Mac and PC systems.

This is very true, using an e-reader like Kindle is like reading a normal book but when I read on a computer type screen my eyes start complaining after a while.
If you want to read ebooks on the computer & the like there are free programs on sites like 'download.com' that either will let you read the ebook format or convert it so your computers understands, for example change it to txt, rtf or m/soft Word format.
Cheers
Jon

Any Thomas Keneally stuff? In particular Australian History by him?
By the way he will be in Perth later this month, he is appearing at the Perth Writers Festival between February 23rd and Sunday 26th Feb, Tickets available from perthfestival.com.au
The movie Schindlers List was based on his book Schindlers Ark and his book was renamed for the US and some other markets as Schindlers List.
I have mentioned this place before, the books come as PDF files so you can read them on your PC, Reader Ipod or ANDOID. For value I think very good. Just email the address for a full book list Here is a current list of authors and their books that I have. If you'd like to place an order, please email me at ebook.hq.fl@gmail.com with what you'd like and I'll send you an invoice via Paypal! The price that you see is for the entire collection (ie: you will recieve all 13 7 Deadly Sins books for $4.00). Shipping will be free on all orders over $25 and $2 for orders under $25. Enjoy your ebooks and thanks again! ***Please note that there is a $2.00 minimum order due to Paypal fees. *** I am currently going through about 15,000 ebooks and adding them to this list. It's going to take me some time to complete it but I'll be sending out updates periodically. ***I am also able to get a very large collection of audio books as well. If you're interested, let me know what you'd like and I'll see if I can get it.
