Thanks all.

I was particularly worried about one cousin in Charleville, whose house was inundated with water last year. It took months before she could get back into her house. So far the 'great wall' has saved them, but there's still more water to come down.

I was able to get lots of 'on the spot' photo's on FB from cousins in Mitchell, in particular. Mitchell was a big shock to me, as I know the town very well.

But there are more cousins in the St George area who already have 4ft of water through and have had to move to neighbouring properties which are higher.

All that fast-flowing water certainly does some damage. Queensland's disaster fund must be stretched to the max.
Now we'll just wait and see how they prioritise the repairs and recovery.
Drive carefully in outback Qld. They were hellish before Christmas. I can only imagine how bad they'll be now after the current floods.

Just a little bit of work Beth, I really feel for the locals in all the flooded areas, makes my worries seem distant and not worries at all.

Now there will be a Flood Tax on top of the existing Flood Tax.
