 I agree I had one that I had right through my service days and it eventaully fell apart at the brim and had a nice set of finger wear marks on the crown.  I almost broke down when I had to retire her to the hat rack.

In Target at Armidale they had nice black full brim hats going out for $2.00 down from $20.00 .Now have 2 new ones in case I grow a second head

I bought a genuine, brand new Akubra from the oppy the other day - never worn, perfect condition, size 58 black - cost - $5!!!!! Couldn't let a bargain like that go, even though it is far too big for my head.
