I'm heading out there next week for a few days. Will have my health issues sorted and Myrtles issues sorted. Will have my TV set up to try out while there.
Edit: Bill12 should just about be there by then. I think there may be another couple as well.

Wish I could join you again Marj. I had a few days at Rutherglen last week, took a friend who had not camped before. Went to the park for her comfort as she has a terminal illness but we had perfect weather n she enjoyed it very much. Very nice park and has new owners who survived the fires at King Lake in 09 and have moved there to have a complete change. I stocked up on my supplies of Murray River Salt flakes. If any of you use this salt (which is fantastic I have to say) it is half the price in the IGA in Rutherglen than anywhere else I have found it. Not a big salt user but it improves the flavor of my cooking considerably. Maybe my cooking is off to start with??? Enjoy the break at Greens. Tess
Actually, I might be there next week. I am going to visit friends in Narooma over the weekend and then, perhaps visit Canberra, and then to Greens lake, By the way where is it, and is anybody going to be there? Is the fishing any good. Bill
Hi Bill, Norma (shadyandme) is heading out there next Wednesday. She said Nu-one (Michael) is already there. I hope to go out next Wednesday depending on whether I have to go to Bendigo with daughter on that day. I could get out there later in the day after the Bendigo trip. If you are coming in through Shepparton which sounds the direction you will come, come out through Mooroopna and head towards Elmore. Just after Stanhope you will find the sign, turn to the right. Theres a stone fence there with Green Acres and Greens Lake written on it and a sign post on the side of the road. If you get to Corop, one shop very small town, turn around and go back roughly 5 ks.
Hi all you recycled teenagers......Im already there and the weather is great and the site has only got 7/8 campers so there's plenty of room see you all there ill have the camp fire on as usual....
Norma ....how are you fairing ? still standing by.
Oh the Southern 80 is on in Echuca so most of the DWEEBS will be on the Murray this week end ******* god bless em.
cheers NU-ONE Michael

See you next wednesday Michael, I can't get there any earlier than that. Unless I come out for a drive Sunday maybe. Definitely won't be going near town with the Southern 80 on. It will be impossible to drive anywhere with the amount of traffic around .
Hi Michael! Shirley says Hi Also......Hope your around there come Easter April 4th I'll be there....Pity If I miss you as I have some things for you too Fix....Ha ha ha!

They need the second river crossing don't they HW.
So right Pam. I did go into town today, parked my side of the rail line and walked it all. Talking to a lady in one of the shops, she had trouble getting to work at 8.30am The bridge was gridlock. Barina. You are most welcome to go to Greens Lake anytime. There are grey nomads there at the moment. Wander around till you see a sticker.
Judy, Its not a caravan park, just a lake with lots of beautiful free parking, has public toilets. Easy to find not sure which way you would be coming. Its on the road between Shepparton and Elmore. There is a signpost on the road side where you turn and go about 2 ks into the lake, 1ks sealed, 1ks unsealed. It is between Corop and Stanhope. My plans have changed because of appointments so now hoping to go out this Sunday as have to be home next Wednesday and Thursday.
A very good way to start Judy. Sit in on happy hour and listen to all the rubbish......just kidding......the nomads that get to Greens Lake are a wealth of information and great people too. I hope one day to be able to meet up with them all.
They will steer you in the right direction and give you lots of stuff to go back home and think about.
An informed decision when it comes to the type of van you want or don't want is much better than going into something like that blind.
Hi I think by still having a couple of years to go I can use that time to get ready and you are right to find out as much as I can and be as informed as I can and the time should go quicker so I can get OUT THERE!!!!!!!!!!
Regards Judy

I will try to get out there on Tuesday. I am going the fish offshore to Montague is. on sunday, so will leave on monday. Have to stop for a cup of tea with Gertie at Canberra, so , hopefully, will be there on monday arvo or night. See you there, Bill
Thanks for coming up Judys Lovely to meet you, hope you took away lots of ideas. Its been a lovely warm day here, not a lot of people this weekend. Has got very windy now so going to put my bed together and pull the pop top down. I don't usually but better to be safe than sorry.
That's great Marj that Judy made it up. Another one on the way, great stuff. How long can u stay this time? Trying to sort something myself for this week, hope I make it. Enjoy yourselves up there. Tess
This has probably been asked before, but are dogs allowed at Greens Lake? Is it no. 475 in the camps book? If so, this states no dogs allowed. Looks like a nice place from all your posts, but my dog goes everywhere with me.
Yes dogs allowed Jack mac, ignore what it says in the camps book. I have a feeling it does say no dogs but there are always heaps here, under control of course. Tess, here till Wednesday this time, home for apps then hope to come back Friday to Sunday. There is only 6 or 7 of campers here at moment, The lake is like a mirror, sun out, blue sky, beautiful Michael has gone into town for provisions, he's fixing my gas also, was still leaking so hes getting new parts while in there. Gosh, there are some wonderful people around when you get out there. He also made me a rod for holding up my middle seat when I check the oil.
Marj! You remember where I was..Under the trees.....I got great Computer and TV signal there.....I know you all like to be on the Lakes Edge....And so would I.. But as you said.......I could'nt even get a signal thats why I was where I was.......

Would be very interested to see how you go Marj with the TV. Yes Michael was very kind to me when I was up there. It is so nice to meet folk who are willing to help. I certainly got that feeling from all I met up there. How's the weather up there? Is it cold at night? Tess
