Rocket we found the Tin Can Bay Tourist Park is the best. Well kept grounds, pool, nice caretaker, off main road. The other two look a bit rough.

Cheers

Yes to the TCB tourist park. But it rained for 3 out of the 5 days I stayed there and it got pretty boggy underfoot. The rain also penetrated by van and I had a water feature through the back cupboard and across the floor, but it was too wet to reseal the leak.
It worked out eventually.
A friend and I spent some of our time in the local sports club playing Keno and a twinkle on the pokies. We won $120 on Keno and I'm still in front on the pokies.
Have fun. There are some great places to check out around that region along the coast.
A mob of jet skiers are on their way up that coast to raise money for charity. They looked specky on Sunrise this morning.

And you can feed the dolfins at the boat ramp.

Chris, I won a meat tray at the Sports Club! First draw for the night too! I was chuffed!

There is good really cheap bush camping at Inskip point about half a hour from Tin Can Bay. $4.50 per adult I think.

I stayed at Standown Park about 20km from Tin Can Bay on the Gympie Road. Fabulous spot. Can't remember how much it cost but it was very reasonable. They light a fire every night so that everyone can gather round with their drinks.

Better have one of your home brew whiskeys in the meantime, Pete!

You don't need a 4WD to get there, bitumen all the way in, but some camps are sandier than others. I think Sarawak is the best for 2WD vehicles.
