Got the call today ! Pick up Mr Motorhome on Tuesday morning. House goes on the market Wednesday! Finish work on March 31 and can then concentrate on the final fittings in MH, Looks like I may really be on the road by June !!!
I can feel the excitement building for both of you peter and Lynnie.........and for me too. How can we hold it in for the next endless succession of weeks
Congratulations on all those who have made the decision to travel, I made that decision in December 2010 and set off in August 2011 after going through what you are all experiencing and would not change it for the world.
I hope that you all bring those plans to finality and set off as soon as possible, if you find yourself in close proximity to my posted locations please look me up we will have plenty to talk about.
It's an exciting time for so many of you. I feel the anticipation and trepidation. There will be a little niggle when you wonder if you're doing the right thing until the house is actually sold and the money is in your pocket. Only you can answer that, but if you enjoy travel, hate housework and all the expenses of running a home, this is the life for you. I didn't really celebrate my departure from Broome in 2007 after 11 years, I just sort of snuck out of town and chucked a right and headed south from Roebuck Roadhouse. I have been celebrating ever since even though I'm tied up in SA for a while. Keep us posted so we can share your excitement.

Bit of a delay in procedings. Had to delay picking up Mr Motorhome till Thursday or maybe even next week. Better to find problems now than later I guess. Only a small problem with awning. At least it proves they are doing a thorough job of predelivery .
Well it's done now! Just back from taking delivery of Mr Motorhome. Now it seems real with that filling my driveway. Now just sell the house and I'm underway.
Ok My house is now on the market, finish work 31/3 have a buyer set up for workvan. Now the interesting and exciting bits can all happen and I can begin my new life!
Good luck with selling the house Peter. I am nearly ready to put mine on the market. Each day I seem to be getting little signs to tell me it is time to move on and get on with life. Still a little daunting as to what to get rid of and what to keep in storage, however I am confident it will all work out as it should. Must be a great feeling to have your new house sitting in your driveway.

Thanks Fireheart, I understand exactly what you are saying, I am finding hard to decide just what stuff is important for me to keep and what to get rid of. Fortunatly when we demolished old house got rid of heaps of stuff so its not such a huge job this time, only built this house less than 3 yrs ago but a lot of sentimental stuff. Yes it's also great to have the new HOME in the drive, have started adding bits and pieces to it and it feels good :). Still got a lot to do and am hopeing the house sells quickly. Poor Rufus isnt to sure just whats going on with stuff moving around and strangers in HIS house.
so happy for everyone who is ready to set off on their travels, also very envious, wish it was our turn, but we are off to Scotland in August for my neices wedding so really looking forward to that, then big push to get the Viscount ready.
