We are new to the forum but have been watching for a little while. We have decided to make the big jump and sell up and become full time nomads. Our decision was an easy one as the GLW (good lady wife) is not as well as she used to be. We have our house on the market, found our new home on wheels and as early as this morning are hassling our good friendly real estate agent to sell, sell. In the time we have been reading in the background (so to speak) we have learnt a lot from you wonderful people and we will continue to learn. We are not new to caravaning but we are so excited about moving on we feal like a couple of kids a dance, thanks everyone.
Its western port festival day here so we've been out as the agent was having a couple look through the house but while we were out in the heat, and it is hot here today, he rang to say it was to hot for the couple to drive down from Melbourne, oh well hope that wasn't our sale.
Hi David & Cheryl, I am also relativley new on here and making the giant leap onto the road, have found this forum so helpfull and friendly. Welcome and hope you enjoy the new life. Where are you starting out from?
We finally have the house on the market and the wife has one more specialist appointment but has to come back for a review in september (probably fly back for that from where ever we are) hoping to be gone by end of may. We have decided on a Coromal Princeton and a Holden Colarado 3.0litre turbo. I have a 99 holden rodeo with nearly half a million klm's on it and haven't done a thing to it except for normal services.
We will be setting out from a little place on the mornington peninsula, Bittern, lovely little place but the wife has said it's time we got going so I'm not going to start arguing with her now, apart from us we will also have our 2 chihuahua's - they can be restricting but we don't go anywhere with out them. First stop will be Eucha on the border of NSW - the wife's cousin has a cattle property there so will prop there for a spell then head north via my home town of Newcastle. Hope to see you and Rufus and everyone else out there.

Hi David & Cheryl and WELCOME from me also.......LOVE it when I see that the canine family is also included in your travel plans. I never leave home without my girls.
Welcome David and Chery.. we also are taking the plunge to see Australia be it for a year or so... we're not as healthy as we'd like and thought we best do this now rather than later... keeping the house tho.. our son and his family are here now and will 'house sit' while we're away then continue living with us while they get on thier own feet giving us the chance to go when ever we please :) I think you'll have a wonderful time and its great to see you taking your pets with you... I love chihuahua's had one, Lilly, she past away last year :(
Welcome David and Cheryl. We pray better health for Cheryl as you start out. I've been reading and participating in this forum for a few weeks now and it has made me itchy to get out on the road. It used to be my husband wanting to go - now it's me!
G'day to you both. It sounds as though you've planned your next move very well. Making hay while we still draw breath gets more important every day we are here. Safe and happy travels, and I hope your wife's health is ok.
