Bailey, Bailey, Bailey, where have you been?
Obviously this is not your first visit to GN, and I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the forum.
There are many references to resources available to help you find camping spots and caravan parks. The best being the Camps #6 book. Available on site for less than retail. You will find it at some newsagents and camping stores.
The only other way is to find spots as you go without any plans.
We are lucky in this country to have so much FREE space and being able to use it.
Stay tuned, and feel free to chime in any time, to learn and teach. That's why we're all here. Oh except for a certain Wombat.
He already knows it all, and no one is game to tell him he's wrong.
Have fun. Safe and happy travels. If you're ever up Adelaide way you are welcome to call in for a coffe and chat. I'm very easy to find.
Just PM me for more info.

Apparently 'On The Road' magazine has just released a book on free camping available through the newsagents, not sure of the price, but the add in their mag makes it sound a good option.

Free campers regard Camps Australia Wide (aka Camps 6) as the bible. It's available at many camping shops, map shops, and many newsagents also sock it. Also you can order it from http://www.campsaustraliawide.com/#

They also supply POI files for the popular makes of GPSs.

You can also buy it from your local Auto Club at a discounted price, presuming you are a member.
