Who's where in the wet

Sitting at home in the wet at North Richmond. Just a bit of drizzle today. Rain expected later.
Took these couple of photos with the moblie phone just before the North Richmond bridge was closed at about 11 am. this morning. Probably go under tonight or tomorrow.

Been sitting in Stansbury Yourke  Peninsular SA for ther past 8 weeks, waiting for it to cool down up the centre. Had 3 days of rain in that time. Heaviest was  1 hour ago. Light shower. smile

Just back from Victoria, we are home getting over a nasty bout of flu.

Maybe a good thing to be home when you're not well, but itching to at least plan another get away, except for the rain!

Regardless, my thoughts go to those stuck in the mud, flood and seriously rotten weather.

Got a cousin spending a month at Stockton, right on the beach- keep ringing her daughter to see if they are home yet, but seems they are toughing it out.

Must admit, can't say I'm sorry the rain appears to have gone from Tsv for the moment, but we are doing a 'ring-around' of family and friends to make sure all are OK. Our thoughts too, go out to thoughts in the affected areas - keep safe folks.

We are at Carcoar Dam at this time very wet and high winds but are high and dry at this time. Drove from Echuca the day before with rain all the way and roads starting to flood what a trip. Will sit here until it has stoped and dry everything out.

Good luck Dave and Karen! Theres more rain forecast for this weekend, just have to sit it out.... not the best fun.
Theres dozens of minor roads closed around Canberra, but the city and suburbs go on as usual. Cant help thinking how lucky we are, with the tumble dryer humming away, while others are working to sandbag their homes and businesses, and are wet and tired.

We are still at home with plans in place for a get away soon, maybe another 2-3 weeks. Just had one week with out rain, new it was to good to last, started again last night with light drizzle.

Last thursday, first day of autumn & had the hotest day for the summer, today is cool, almost need a jumper & we aint in melb. LOL.

Every one out there, keep it safe.

Rain?  Wet?  What ya's talking about?  We haven't seen any of that stuff for weeks, send some over to the West please.

We've been averaging mid to high 30's and dry all summer around our way.  The water bill for the garden is going to skyrocket.

Cheers Neil

Unlike the weather for SA, for example, which historically came from the west, all this weather has been coming down from the north west tropical regions.
Poor WA is missing out except for a tropical cyclone which slipped down the coast earlier in the summer. It's been exceptionally hot in the west.
These weather patterns are unusual, even bizarre. The sea is still very warm and that always means rain.
I can only hope the west gets enough rain for the start of the grain season so that get a decent harvest this year.
Weather watching has been a hobby of mine since I was about 9 years old. I should have been a meteorologist.
Stay safe where ever you are.

When you have finished all that, knock the top of a bottle or two and enjoy. I have just washed a weeks worth off cloths and the towels.

Doug, I know the rivers are up but haven't been out for a couple of days, all the small towns around here are under water. Just hope it doesn't come this far. Suns trying to break through today although we are supposed to be getting heaps of rain.

Main thing you are high and dry there with good toilet block.

Is Carcoar Dam full? Many years since it has been full.

Start out early and get there safe, you have to take your time when the roads are wet.
