rich river holiday & lifestyle village

We recently won a 10nt stay @ this caravan park on travel auctions. . I would not recommend this place to anyone. This park hasnt been cleaned nor rubbish emptied in 9days weve been here.

I've just looked it up in phone book. It says: Crescent Echuca. Checked the map, Its Crescent Street Echuca. Is that the one you stayed at Jonathan, is the same direction.

I think it might be .. I didn't have any "cleanliness" problems at all .. only that it was overpriced for a single ..

If a van park does not have a single option price go to another park, but make sure you tell the park owner why you are not staying with them.

I think the owner of Big4 at Hastings Point is a Big4 director, you could try him

I don't like Big 4, they are over priced for what we need, but if you have kids then Big 4 has all the bells and whistles.

I still prefer to free camp, just find a hole and move it biggrin

I enjoy both. When I'm on the road with the caravan I prefer van parks.
I enjoy camping when I'm on the job using my "spare room" and tent cot or my cacoon.
It's all fun.
If we put too much emphasis on free vs park, I think it distracts for the real reasons we're out there.
I always seemed to get some consideration as a single. I don't expect half, but just the acknowledgement and a little less on the fee.
Clean, neat and tidy are prerequisites.
I've had bad feelings about 2 parks in my travels. One was in Townsville, and the other was on the Gold Coast.
They had a lot of permanents, and it seems the operator was happy to take the cash but not too keen to give anything back except the space.
There's a lot of this about.

There's one like that in South Hedland, used to be a great van park in the 1990's but it is or was a real dump in 2004.

Must be related to the Big 4 at Moama, We reported them to the Big 4 & had several replies. Nothing gained if you dont complain.

We droped our membership & gave them many reasons why.
