Stopping for 1 week till flooding and roads clear. Went for a drive yesterday on the Mitchell Highway. Not out long before chickened back to the caravan. If longer 1 week dont care as dry and comfortable. Other friends are holed up in various location with flooding.
Thinking of you Paul, better to stay safe, and just sit tight for a while - gotta wonder how some people can be so dumb as to travel through flood waters, then others have to put their own lives in danger to rescue them!!! We too look like we may have trouble heading home. Leaving Tsv tomorrow but not sure how far south we will get, weather warnings are from Bundaberg south. And wouldn't you know it, after a few beautiful days (enough to celebrate little Max's 1st b'day) it's raining again!!!!!

Pejay, my grandaughter can't get to school today, all roads and school closed because of flooding. Her school is in Maryborough and she lives in Biggenden. Said to me on facebook can't get through the Childers way or the Biggenden road to Maryborough way, so don't hold out much hope for you getting through at the moment.
The Mitchell Highway isn't much when it's dry, so stay put until it dries out a bit, and whatever you do, stay on the black top. I suppose the road will have a bit of bitumen between the potholes after the floods. Take it easy - it's the only way to take it.
