Your pooter does not need to be switched on for them to access it, I've just had a look in your pooter and you really should not be looking at site's like that.

Just goes to show you are talking through your butt again. My puter was downloading a movie at the time and it is switched on.smilesmilesmilesmile

By the way Womby which site was I supposed to be looking at???????????biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

I got a call from them on Sunday afternoon. In my best "no understand english proper good"voice, I kept asking him when he can come clean my windows, need cleaning now, asked if he can supply water and washing stuff, when he tried to interrupt I kept telling him how dirty my windows were and needed him to come my place plenty quick.

I don't think he understood how dirty my windows were.

Edit.  He never rang back after we were suddenly disconnected.

Anyone here know a good window cleaning mob.

Just had a call from a person purporting to be from Windows Operating Systems, stating that my computer had generated a lot of errors etc., due to something she said I didn't understand (hearing problem, can't follow "singsong" voices) - anyway - I told her I would get some other advice - she basically said well it was on my head -

Is this or is this not a scam - how do I know?  What should I do?  just ignore it?

very frustrating.

Definitely would be a scam. If she was for real she wouldn't say It was on your head. You would have given you advice maybe to ring back or who to ring.

They keep trying the same scam every few months Jules.  I just told another one off a couple of days ago.  Got to stop getting so angry, and just put the phone to one side, and waste their money.

Cheers,

Sheba.

Best one is when you tell them it's impossible to have a Windows Operating system error on your computer.....why, because you don't have a computer!

For all the good we can do with this wonderful technology, there are scammers out there using this wonderful technology to rip us off and access our personal details and bank accounts.
If you didn't initiate the contact and ask for assistance and advice, it's crooked.
This should apply to all these emails and phone calls getting around trying to con us.
If you didn't start it, you should end it.

Thanks guys - it is the fourth one I have had - knew it was a scam - but feeling a bit "vulnerable" at the moment - do these people not respect the "do not call" register - or what?
And one thing I love about this site is the fact that no matter what is being talked about, someone will go "off topic" - and nobody really cares, just join in - great stuff!!
