Rob and I went to the Boggabri Drovers Campfire last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. If you Google this, Boggabri Drovers Campfire Weekend (27/04/2012 to 29/04/2012 you can get more information. It's $15 p.n. for a van. showers and toilets and water available. It is put on by the local Lions Club and they do a fantastic job. Plenty of things to keep you occupied the whole weekend. They also have tours of some local industries, like mining, cotton gin etc. It is held on the 27th to 29 th April but you can go early, we are going on Anzac Day.

cheers

In Sept 09 we stayed a couple of nights at Boggabri, in their Caravan Park. A very welcoming village that is well worth a stopover anytime. http://home.vicnet.net.au/~badger04/parks_n5.htm#boggabricp

During that time we had a couple of meetings with the Lions Club committee that organises the Drovers Camp. A very enthusiastic group that certainly work hard putting together an excellent program. They certainly seem to cover every detail in accommodating a large number of campers at the showgrounds.

I am not at all surprised to read ValnRob's good report of the event.
