tv bracket and panel coming away from wall in new starcraft

I agree. we have a starcraft and had a tv retrofitted and no problem. as with everything else we have had done with Brisbane camperland, all is good. all I can say is we are glad we bought a secondhand van from a reputable dealer. rocket n strop

That should be installed using battens in the walls of the van.
I travel with my flat screen TV between the pillows on my bed. Apparently they shouldn't be laid flat screen down especially.
I don't have a bracket. Mine sits on a turntable on bench top above the fridge.
The layout of my van doesn't accommodate a bracket in a strategic position. It works for me.
Did you TV get damaged?
I'd persue the warranty issue with the supplier of the van. Good luck.

never.we always take it off and lie it flat inbetween blanket, sheet and mattress and tuck it all in to keep it safe. THEN and this is important if you forget like me. PUT A BIG SIGN ON THE BED THAT SAYS "DO NOT SIT, TV UNDER BLANKET' . this has saved many a near catastrophe. rocket n strop

Hi Margaret, we have had a Starcraft for 20mths, we live in it full time & have traveled some 30,000ks. We had a tv fitted aftermarket, with a tri fold bracket mounted to the wall & it has not been taken down to travel or for any other reason. The bracket locks when the tv is not in use or when traveling & we have never had a problem with it. As stated earlier, I believe your problem should be rectified under Warranty.

Sounds like a poor installation & warranty is the way to go.  I have a wall mounted TV that swivels & it has been there for 7 years without problems. I travel with it attached to the wall even though I lie it face down on the bench. Has to be shoddy workmanship!

Like others, we always take the tv off the bracket and nestle it securely amongst the bedding on the bed. While the bracket gets secured against the wall when travelling, we don't want to risk the screws attaching the tv to the bracket coming loose if travelling over rough ground.
