I just got home from the annual trip down to the deep south, and should have stayed there. We have had 15 inches in the last few days, with more to come. Seen every dvd in the house, and am getting bored to the MAX. You can only do so much in the shed, and this wet weather is getting me down. Whats it like where you are?Bill

Looks like I might cop some today sometime Bill.  Radio says to expect around 100ml today north of Marlborough, even though the sun is shining at the moment.

Check out the Op-shops when you're on the mainland for DVD's Bill.   I've found one that sells all DVD's for $1.00, and one was a 10 movie Pack. Other places sell them for $2 or $3.

Cheers,

Sheba.

It is getting boring in Pinjarra WA weather wise, we have forgotten what rain looks like.

Today is forcast scattered clouds max 30deg, just like every day. ha ha.

It realy is beautiful weather but we do need rain.  I wonder if Lua will bring us any.

Cheers Neil

We have a low in the Gulf, which usually moves acroos the cape into the coral sea and reforms into a cyclone. Had some work booked , but don,t want to put the boat in just to have to pull it out,so I just have to wait it out.A late wet here this year. I hope it doesn,t last til Easter.Bill

This wet season has been wetter down south than up north, but now the north is copping it.
TC Lua is heading to Anna Plains, Sandfire Roadhouse, Mandora, Wallall or Pardoo Stations along the 80 Mile Beach.
Not much structure there, not many people live there but the damage is always severe.
I hope the rain spreads further afield for WA. It's been a hot, dry summer for them.
The rain which hit SA a couple of days ago came from the NW. A new weather pattern for this part of the country. It normally comes from the west. Perth has it, then Adelaide gets it 3 or 4 days later - but not now.
Stay safe and dry everyone.
Bill, I can relate to the frustration of being stuck inside for days during the wet season. There's only so many times you can clean the bathroom and tidy up the cupboards. Well, that's what I used to do anyway.

Yes, I am serously thinking of moving south as I have had a gutful of the NQ wet season. I am looking at a unit at Bermagui, on the sth coast of NSW. The fishings good , and if I sell the boat and the house, I won,t have to work again.I think I will do this tourist season up here, though. Its beautiful down there. Bill

I had to admit as much as I loved living in the tropics of Broome and then Cairns, the wet season does get you down, but it grows on you like mould in the west season. Green mould in Broome, black mould in Cairns.
It looks like that monsoonal low around Karumba way could head east to the coast and then turn around again. Hang on.

Don't know where you are in SEQ pete, but there's no sun here in Logan. The rains not heavy, just a nuisance.

Hey Bill, how can you even consider leaving the best state and move down south??? Have to admit though, down the south coast of NSW is lovely, and yep the 'wet' of Nth Qld does tend to get you down, that's why we moved down here to the SE corner.

Very overcast and wet here offshore in SEQ - had to move our barbie indoors last night, the rain came half way in on our patio out the back, oh well, had a good time with some great friends.

Today, still overcast and yep ...... still raining, so will sit down with a cuppa and start planning a few more trips.

You've done well to last that long Bill! 17 months in Warrego NT in the early 80's was enough for me! doh

I think one has to experience the the wet season to understand just how awful it is. The only way to survive was sitting in aircon all the time, and that's just surviving! The pool water was warm, the shower was warm, no way to get relief.

It gets pretty humid here in Brissy too, but at least the water is refreshing.

How do you know when you're in Broome?
The hot water comes out of both taps.
Working on stations there was no aircon, just ceiling fans and beer. Well, cold water all day, then just sweat.
That's why I only wear cotton and a hat. The breeze on a sweaty t shirt keeps me cool. It's clean sweat.

A big advantage of Bermagui Bill is that you dont have to pay ferry fares every time you want to go anywhere. You might even start towing something!

I am going to put the slide on on a trailer, and tow it behind the courier. That way I can have the tinnie and the postie bike in the back of the ute. Yes,the barge fares are a disincentive to travel.I am getting a bit sick of the small island mentality, and think I need a change.Bermagui is a good place for a new start. Bill

G'day Bill Kay and I are at Victor Harbor, been here a couple of weeks, we have not really moved that much since we last saw you at Greens Lake a couple of months ago, the weather is changeable and had a bit of rain but not much but hell it gets cold from time to time but we are still enjoying ourselves
