Hi Everyone, Thanks for the positive feedback. We’re very happy that we have such a friendly forum with such welcoming members. We created this site as a positive, encouraging place for grey nomads and wannabe grey nomads to exchange stories, tips and advice. We are delighted that so many of you want to enjoy it as such. If anyone has any issues or questions about the forum, please send me a PM.
What is going on with forums today, it seems like it is getting to be "us or them " .
I am on many forums and so not slag off against any of them as we are all just trying to make friendships and learn about travelling and where are the best places to go safely.
I do not make comments on a lot of things but still look and take in what others have said,so please lets keep all of these forums open and abide by the rule of each forum
Totally agree Ken We are halfway through a 2 year trip and the amount of information for first timers that we have got from the GN site is amazing. We try to help others from our experiences and the steep learning curve that we have had. Maybe for some it should be a "go back to basics" and look at what you want out of the site and what you are prepared to give. Regards and happy travelling Peter And Rose
I think peace has been restored for the time being. It was a bit unpleasant, but it all has to be started by someone. It also has to be finished by someone or by them leaving. It's a pity we had to lose a couple of valuable contributors. I think the wheels fall off when people get personal instead of addressing the topic. That's life.

Hi Ken, where are u at these days? Rob and I have been at Pilliga Bore for a week and Easter will be at Heartwood Music Festival. Keep on keeping on.....
Hi Ken, totally agree with you. Its even worse when one goes to another forum only to see one is being discussed with a lot of laughter and vulgarity. Thats my only comment on the subject.
One of the recent postings on solar panels mentioned number of viewers and not many postings. I was a Lurker for two or three yrs and the information I gathered in that time has been invaluable to us in setting up for our trip. Information all you experienced travelers give is most important for us newbies, please keep it up.
Hi Ken, I agree also. I got a message from Ma the other day and with her permission I can let you and anyone else know that she is well but very hurt, so could be many moons before her return.
With a bit of luck Blue might pop up from time to time.
Keep well Ma if you are listening.

Cheers
just got back from 10 days at Halls Gap, was very nice and had a good relax with friends from Mooroopna, and met up with others getting away from the floods in numurkah
Looking to head towards Cairns later when the new tub arrives
I've noticed that certain people act one way on one forum and another on another forum. Not very nice at all. Things are not always as they seem. Such a shame. This forum is by far the friendliest I've found. Let's hope it stays that way.
