Assistance required.

I can vaguely recall someone pointing out that it would be an idea to have a small grey ribbon attached to an aerial to show you were a Grey Nomad when travelling.

Maybe it would also be an idea to have say a red ribbon as well as the grey one to display if one needed some assistance.

Brought about by Sharon's query on items for a tool box to carry on the Solo forum.

Sometimes someone else has the skills necessary to assist or maybe the superglue has gone off and you need some urgently.

Just a thought and maybe others will have a better idea.

that is a wonderful idea Yuglamron, I think the grey flag would be great to know that we are out there, would be a great ice breaker also at a free camp I am guessing, and the red flag or similar if one is in need of assistance, wonderful. I am sure it would be not be long before the travelling community would recgonise the flags.
I like the idea of the stickers also Wombat but may be a little small to spot from a distance, and lets face it you would only be able to see them in the dark cos we all know what wombats do in the dark!!!!!!!!Of course I am sure you have superpowerful vision though.

I did have grey/silver ribbon on my aerial all around the country, but never met another nomad from this forum.
Others have approached me based on the appearance of my vehicle and the wheel cover on the back with my logo.
I reckon you do what you gotta do to be recognised on the road as we rush toward each other at 90+ KPH. Good luck with that.
The other way is to go for a wander in the park or camp ground where you're parked and start to chat, just because they're sitting there.

 Hi gst,

I have made two for you, one with captials, one lower case, you will need to right click the image and select Save Image As that will save it to your computer.

You will then need to purchase Avery Business Cards (L7415) from somewhere like Officeworks or maybe Harvey Norman and print them on your own printer.

 have fun

As most of you know I have only just started travelling around with my Avan Camper but up until then my lovely late wife and myself cabin-ed it all the time and after we settled in I would wonder off for a walk around the park and she would ALWAYS say "see you in a couple of hours". I would always find some nice person or people to chat too. That doesn't seem to happen in Motels.
