Hi, That depends if you want to stay in a caravan park or not. Samford has a show grounds. have never  been there though.

About 30 minutes north of Brisbane is Scarborough caravan park and it  has recently been refurbished and very nice and Caboolture showgrounds. have never stayed there but have looked at it and when we were there, there were quite a few caravans.

I do not know of anywhere real close to brisbane. Hopefully, someone from the southside will know what is there.

Good luck . happy easter.

The Big 4 at Aspley on Brisbane's northside is a nice park but fairly expensive and as the rocket said the caravan park at Scarborough is a highly recommended park and a little cheaper but at this time of year I think you'll struggle to get into either.

There is also camping at Redcliffe showgrounds, I think they charge around $15 per night not sure what the facilities are like, I think there is a caretaker on site to take payments

Good luck hope you have a great easter smile

Hi Briche, we are at Redlands Motor village in Birkdale... $33 powered site. Its nice, but we choose it mainly because its 2 blocks away from daughter's.

We've stayed a couple of times at the New Market Gardens C/P at Ashgrove Only 4 Kms from city, quite good but a bit exy but very handy and close to bus for the city.

If you are coming up from Tweed, you pass three just off the highway in the outer suburbs of Brisbane.

The first is at Tanah Merah Galaxy ....  Probably round $30 PS  I'd check it out before commiting to it though. 1800644140

The next is around Rochedale on the right.  Big4 Brisbane Gateway Villiage 'Resort'. Expect Resort prices if you can get in. Good one. 1800442444  gatewayvilliage.com.au

Then at Eight Mile Plains .. Just near me is Top Tourist, Brisbane Holiday Village.  Another expensive Holiday Park.  Has lots of swish cabins & a few tourist sites.  The best located one if you need to get into the CBD.  In walking distance from the Garden City (Shopping Centre) Bus Interchange.  Probably pay round $50/night powered site for this & the Big 4.  073341 6133    brisbaneholiday.com.au
