Canungra Recreation Ground

Stopped off here for a few days while we catch up with friends in Brisbane and surrounding area. Got a bit of a shock when we got here today as there is about 200 plus tents and 80 plus caravans already here. Makes for a nice collection of families having fun. Oh, by the way, have a safe and happy Easter.

No we did not run, we decieded to join the Easter weekend campers as we will be travelling into Brisbane a few times over the weekend so it won't be too bad. Actually it's not too bad kids and dogs go quite at about 9pm. All good.

Thanks guys, yes it's very nice here in spite of the numbers but as I said it's really only a base while we catch up with Brisbane friends. We are moving out on Monday to a property that is owned by one of Cherly's nieces. Up in the mountains around Beechmont withy great views. She is away at the moment so we will do a bit of house sit for about a week before we continue further north. Trust your Easter is a Blessed one. Brian & Cheryl

Happy Easter to you Brian and Cheryl. Glad you found somewhere to go while in Brisbane. Hope the weather is as good as it is here. It's been superb for Easter which is usually wet.

The showground has some nice views & is in a great spot for exploring the beautiful surrounds, it was fairly empty when we stayed there. Lucky we weren't there in Easter I think.

Cheers

Jon

The caravan park in Birkdale where we have been for a week is still nice and quiet, plenty of space. We chose to stay close to where we would be going in Brisbane and save fuel and time. Each to their own, but such a busy campground doesnt do it for us!!
