Pacific Highway

We've just travelled the Pacific Highway from Rockhampton Qld to Taree NSW. theres lots of roadworks, particularly North of Coffs Harbour, and to listen to the truckies talk, (UHF 29 on this highway in NSW) the roadworks will go on for  a long time.

Its very busy, but apart from the roadworks which dont bother us as we arent in a hurry, its a good road, and quite scenic.

At least all the roadworks, inconvenient as they are, mean something is being done about the roads. Unfortunately roads cannot be repaired or rebuilt without roadworks. As a mate of mine says "You can't make an omelette without breaking eggs"

It's good to see roadworks making progress, and hopefully improving the long term structure of the road, not just a short term patch up job on a bad foundation.
