which way are you going

We have just changed into shorts and tee shirt as temperature at Moree is currently 23 and nights around 6-8 we are travelling with a Grey Nomad sticker on pole carrier at the back of the van, have been using caravan parks but as nights warm up we hope to free camp.

I have been an eye out in the caravan parks for vans or cars with a nomad sticker haven't seen any yet but you never know.

On our first major trip up north for winter we anticipated heaps of vans on the road, we left Blue Mountains last monday and headed up through Singleton, Gunnedah, Narrabri and now in Moree for a few days do most travel via another route or are we a bit early, we have been looking forward to meeting some other nomad forum members on the road.

Still a lot of kilometers to Cooktown so hope to meet some of you on the road smilesmile

Hi David, hope you are enjoying your trip and getting warmer by the day.

If you are travelling North you won't see many other travellers unless you stop and see them passing.I used to think we were the only ones going our way till I realised we were keeping pace with others going the same way.

I am sure as you get further North you will bump into more heading up to N.Qld.

Your route is a favourite one and lot's use it.

It's a balmy 23 C here in Hervey bay with a few clouds in the sky but cooler at night, now down to 15 C last night.

Enjoy your trip and safe travels.

Trevor

We are planning to leave on the first of June, and traveling up the coast, hopefully free camping along the way, to be in Cooktown by mid June, staying for a week or two then back home to the Sunshine Coast. We only have six weeks, as the other half has to get back to work..... So hopefully we may meet some of you lovely folks out there....

Happy travels

I've just had a week off and there is alot of caravans on the road up here (far North QLD) if you want to free camp best to stop early as the good spots fill up early already. had alot of heavy rain today between Cardwell and Innisfail, now back on the tablelands a bit of light showers but sun out again now so all good.

Will look out for you guys as we head south - OK, no nasty comments about being silly, we are going to our special little girls 1st birthday at the beginning of June, but if we don't see you, safe travelling everyone.

G'day everyone,

we left Quirindi on the 1st of may and travelled via Broken Hill Peterborough Pt Augusta Coober Pedy and currently in Alice Springs until next sunday. We have met many new friends on this trip(our first BIG trip) and are travelling and camping with 4 other couples which has made this a really fun trip so far.

Wintersun top tourist is a great spot, $34.00/2A/Night less ttp discount. book ahead as the vacant sites are usually filled by 2 pm.

look forward to meeting some GN members on the road
