I reckon people are only doing short distances Because of Fuel Prices and the Uncertainty of the Climate Tax I'm not poor...But I'm also not stupid and once one gets to whey ever Everybody wants you to hit your Kick

Gee, there were hundreds of caravans and motorhomes heading north on the Bruce Highway! A few less on the NSW side of that highway. We thought they must have been using the inland route, the east coast roads are SO busy and full of roadworks.
There are heaps heading east and west, and vice versa. I thought it was the wrong time of the year out on the Nullarbor this week by the number of nomads on the move across the country. Really confusing.
I have "bumped" into fellow GN's PatrolST, Jim and Raylee, right here in my back yard. Always good to catch up with fellow GN's. If you're looking for me, just go for a walk and find the wheel cover and I'm there somewhere. Or leave a note and I'll find you. Isn't this fun? BTW, "vice versa" doesn't mean "dirty poetry".

We've just landed in Broken Hill and there were heaps of caravans heading east and then north. But people who came the same way as us are also heading north - just a different direction in the first part.
Perhaps you are all travelling at the same speed lol! I am always amazed at how many are going in the opposite direction and how few in my direction, until I sit on the side of the road for a while and see them all drive pas.
That's so true. Today, the only van to pass us was someone pulling a Jayco outback trailer going far too fast! But if you stop at a rest area, it doesn't take too long for quite a few vans to pull in behind you - hopefully they were all going the same sensible speed as you were.
