Had a lovely catch up with Ken and Lyn (Dunwurkun) and Lynnie this afternoon. Thanks all and Thanks Ken and Lyn for your hospitality and that two in one jam.
I'm now sweeter thanks to the cream as well.
I'm sure your Daughter's pumpkin scones would give Flo's a run for their money any time.
I like your rig too Lynnie, I'm sure you will have some great trips in that set up.
See you all next time.

Beaut to catch up Doug. I hope you continue to enjoy your visit to Echuca. If you decide you might like to take a look at that fantastic exhibition I was talking about, let me know. Marion's work is amazing. Very realistic.
Good Doug. You should not be disappointed. Chris, I won't be heading away for a while yet, and certainly not next Sunday as planned. My rig is ready but I have a number of things to attend to at home before I can head off. I will enjpy smaller trips in the meantime, as well as catch-ups such as I had yesterday. It was beaut to catch up with Doug as well as Ken and Lyn. It turns out that I have known their son and daughter for years.
I did Lyn. I had a nice chat to her as well. She has a very steady hand, not one crooked line in all her works. I really liked the two frog ones (The dark ones on the side wall), very life like.

.. and I was fortunate to meet a few more GN's this afternoon .. TRAVELLING BOB and I both met up at KANDAGAL's patch of grass at the Rodeo Showgrounds at Mareeba ..
Just lately I've been caught up, or have caught up with people from previous times. A voice at Border Village said, "Why aren't you at First City Caravilla?" The face was familiar but couldn't put a name to it. It was a familiar regular to the Cairns caravan park where I lived for more than 2 years, and this fella parked near me. He's a Victorian truck driver, and on this occasion he was on his way to WA. Last Monday night at Gawler Sing Australia I met 2 visitors from Victoria. One of the gentlemen had a familiar surname. I spelt it out to make sure, and mentioned a girl's name who was at boarding school in Adelaide at the same time as I was. "She's my sister", he announced. I was dumbfounded at the coincidence. He filled me on his sister's movements, career and lifestyle. What a shock! At a Ceduna roadhouse I was ordering my evening meal last week and recognised the cook. She was an acquaintance when we lived in the town in the 80's. She was also my middle daughter's step mum when she lived with her dad, my ex, for a couple of years. It's a small world when you have wheels under you.
