Just got here.

smile Yep Keith, the General forum is just fine, as you get more used to looking in the different area's you will pick it up fine.

The ''cuppa'' or I digress part is for general chit chat, silly talk, sarcastic remarks  and a lot of seemingly useless chatter, but is always courteous and respectful, like all area's of the grey nomads

In fact one regular member that you will not hear from for another week or two as he is away at present, goes by the name of ''wombat'' he goes onto the I digress forum a lot '' BEWARE'' when you finally meet him,

Seeing as i am not one to cause trouble [ he,he, ] if wombat asks you who gave you the warning ??? tell him it was some guy called ''Dougwe''

This is the sort of chat that is normally on the I digress forum, you know just about any Bull--it that comes to mind !!        Rgs dazren

G'Day, I'm new and not sure where to start.   I found a 'Welcome' topic but it's now closed.   So straight off, I'll apologise if I'm steering this incorrectly and secondly...'Hello".   I'm Keith and my lovely other half is Julie..   I live in Melbourne's Eastern suburbs at the moment.   I have an Isuzu based Winnebago Freeway, a Farr600 yacht and a Rodeo.   We're in semi retirement, fostering disabled kids.   Julie's background is in nursing and mine is in law enforcement.   We are both from a little island off Europe but lived in many countries before arriving in the land of clement weather. We're currently doing 'short' trips mainly around Gippsland and the Murray area.   We're hoping to shortly move to Gippsland and take tgings from their before full retirement in about 10 years.   (So I suppiose we're not quite grey and only semi nomadic).   We  hope to learn a few things and perhaps contribute where possible.   Anyhow, Heartbeat's on and I'll come back in an hour of so.   Thanks for your patience.

Thanks Dazren. Dumb question; is this the right 'page' to be on for these types of messages or should I be in the 'Drop in for a cuppa' page?

Thanks dougwe, I saw that the names didn't match up with the suggestion so I figured that I might be getting 'set up'.   I'll keep it in mind for future reference and 'strike back' at the appropriate moment

Marge, he is relating to the '' I Digress'' page ?? as under the heading it states '' grab a cuppa'' and come in for an off-topic chat,

So if you still need that cuppa, make one, and log onto '' I Digress''  dazren
