caravan table

I am considering buying one of those caravan tables that are on the outer wall and fold down, do the GN's have pro's & con's for them please.

We have one of those justustwo, and we found we hardly ever use it. It seemed like a good idea at the time we ordered the caravan, but its just not in a handy spot for putting drinks etc on when sitting outside. Also if we cook on it with the electric frypan, we get spatter on the side of the van. Dont remember how much it cost but we wasted the money.

Having said that, we've seen them in use on other people vans.

We have one fitted to our old van and used it all the time for cooking to keep odours from smelling the van out. The new van has one fitted, so saved us the cost of purchasing and having one fitted.

Current van has one and the new van will have one. Use it all the time for slow cooker, kettle/ toaster etc. All plugged into , but not all used at once on a 4 plug adaptor. Good addition to any van.biggrin

Dick.

We bought one recently. Only used it on the last trip to the Boggabri Muster but it was really good. Next to the power point so very handy for the kettle etc. Unfortunately just a fraction short to fit my new "U Beaut Ute BBQ" but not to worry it can go on the table which is now free from all the other clutter. Hubby said it was very easy to install but we couldnt fit the longer one on the side. Happy we bought it.

Ooh, where do you get one of those?  I use an aluminium cook bench out under the awning because I don't like to cook inside except for the micky wave.  I've seen those benches on the side of the vans, but haven't seen any I could add to my van.  Tell me more please.
