It is best to collect and dispose of properly (as best you can) place near a tree if in the bush can be acceptable in some areas but not near waterways and PLEASE not where someone else my stop. Just consider that you would not like to stop and setup and then fond you are in someone elses dirty water.

Mostly it is a matter of common sense and courtesy when you need to dispose of any waste. Similar to lighting fires and running generators.

The preferred method is for all waste water Black and Grey be collected and placed in a proper dump point.

With the black water if you use chemicals you MUST dump in a dump point not in a drop toilet or a septic system

If you use the napi soaker option then it can safely place in a septic system and if needed it can be buried in a out off way place but only as a last resort.

If needed get a bucket etc with a screw lid and cart out if you think there may be a problem.

Sorry but I get a bit upset when I see people putting their hoses into a river or near a water way or some just run them away from their van and consider it is OK as long as it is not near them. Have had one person describe how they drop their BLACK water in the camp site as they leave. I suggested in future he do it when he arrives as it may give the smell time to leave while HE is camped over it.

If your camped in a bush site it's not hard to getout and dig a hole to run your sullage (greywater) into and then cover it when your ready to leave. Some people just dont care who's following them, it seems to me that the bigger and flashier the van/mh the less likely they are to leave it as they found it. Before everyone has a go at me I know it is NOT ALL people in fash gear. Car travelers are the worst for it.

 Our experience was with a large bus type motor home with big trailer attached.

Pulled into the free camping area. There were a number of us there, all neatly parked and giving every one space to be in.

 This character pulled in right next to the toilet block, blocking off one of the walkways thus making people walk around the block to get in.

At 7.30am in the morning opened all the doors and set his cb radio to a volume that allowed every one to hear what was being broadcast. All of us were glad that shortly after they packed up and left.

I don't mind a little bit of noise, soft radios,gentle music, bit of heavy metal(lol) every now and then, but common courtesy should not be ignored.

Just my thoughts.

Most country places are happy for grey water to be collected in a bucket and tipped onto their trees.....in fact many are happy at you just letting you grey water run out onto the grass....not onto a hard surface though

I have noticed over here in the west (WA) most parks we have stayed at actively encourage you to run the grey water hose onto te grass or a nearby tree. We are parked between a couple of trees ATM and I change between trees every couple of days.
