No mour camping at Warrnambool show grounds council has stopped camping at the show grounds . We pulled in to show groundson June 4th got told to go out to Killarney Caravan Park .Killarney is &23.00 a night for seniors &19.85. Very nice and quiet
Yep - council withdraw the permission back in Dec 2011. Apparently there was a growing 'uneasiness' between the 'horsey and dog mobs' who wanted to walk/exercise their charges and the vans were "in the way".
Given additional pressure being applied by the local van parks, council finally caved in.
Having said that, the (loosely called) amenities block certainly needed improvement - very 1800s dungeon-style red brick.
I stayed at Koroit Van park instead last Jan - great little place. Cheap, friendly, clean with a nice little town almost right on the doorstep.

John, not sorry to hear that finally it`s gone, absolute terrible place and please say no more about the other place either, but for very different reasons as I want to make sure there is room for me next time that way.
