Having taken my Kedon ATV across the Gibb River Road and experienced the corrugations and dust that resulted, I have been scratching my head trying to figure out how to plug all the little cracks and gaps to stop the dust getting in.
While down at the hardware store, I came across an interesting product which I am using to do just that. It is called Sika Boom AP and it is an expanding foam, used for insulation and gap plugging in such applicatons as air conditioning installations etc.
It cost me $15 per 850ml can. You just squirt it into the gaps and it expands and sets. Nothing gets past it.
You can also use it as filler when packing fragile goods for posting.

What a good idea. I could use that in the cupboards around the gas bottle container where I thinnk the mice got in last time and at the moment have the washing s/s steelo pads in there.
its been around for a long time, also good for putting under kits in tool boxes like kincrome etc; where the spanners fit into their own slots, if you know what i mean

if you block up the holes the mice will not be able to get it, then the poor bugga's will have to walk, I will report you to the RSPCA
