Motorhome Repairs Bundaberg

Hi,

I am not sure if the one you are thinking about is Caseys RV's in Bundaberg

I have a mate who had virtually all his work done by Caseys when converting his Hino.

He reccomended them to me and I had my Dometic aircon fitted by them.

They fitted the aircon quickly and efficiently and were polite and business like.

Price was the same as big city prices so well worth reccomending.

They are near the Baldwin Swamp wildlife sanctuary/park in Bundaberg

Can anyone remember the name of a motorhome repairer in Bundaberg who highly recommended on this forum by quite a few nomads a while ago.

I have been through Recommendations and Techies Corner to no avail. I have tried the search button to no avail. I'm thinking these words weren't put in the heading.

Quite a few nomads talked about them and one mentioned him by Christian name.

I am not putting this in Recommendations or Techies Corner as noticed while searching just how many over there never get answered.

I have a friend here who needs to get a leak fixed in the roof and will be in there next Monday.

G'Day Happy Wanderer, I found a post by Barrie on 20th June where he had a good experience with a place called the Caravan Repair Shop at Arundel in QLD.  It's the closest I could find after trying different word combinations in 'Search' for  a few hours.   I don't know if that is the one you're looking for or even if Arundel is anywhere near Bundaberg.   But seeing how it's such a small State, everywhere must be within walking distance of everywhere else; don't you think?

Yeh, Right, Keith. I will just wander over. lol.
No, thats not it. This was in Bundy itself and quite a few nomads had glowing reports about the guy. A shame some good threads die away because of either where they have been put or not named properly.
I've given up trying to find it by searching. I was hoping one of the nomads who used the place would be able to help.

Hi, I think that Arundel is on the Gold Coast. Probably 4 or 5 hours from Bundaberg.
I am not involved in the industry, but locally there are 3 main suppliers and repaires, with Searles RV, Takalvans, and the Jayco dealer whose name escapes me.
There is also a guy on the Rosedale road about 20 mins out of Bundy, but not sure of his name.
This may help to narrow it down.

Fantastic response. What would we do without this forum.
My friend has rung Casey's and will call in to have it looked at on Monday. They said they are fully booked up for months but always leave a little space for emergencies.

Hi ,Yes casey's are pretty good.I was looking to have an aircon fitted to my RV and searched all over the East Coast to have it fitted.

I was doing this in October and the earliest I could find for the reccomended installers for the Dometic brand was Easter the following year.Casey's said they could fit me in before Xmas and it was installed on the 19th Dec.

While I was there a solo woman with a Jayco had her small repair to a cassette toilet done, and then she drove out of the workshop herself despite being asked if they should drive it out for her.

Unfortunately she turned the steering wheel before she should have and did aprox $5K damage to the cabover area.

Caseys had the thing stripped and ready for fibreglassing the same day and by the time I left that evening had started the rebulding.

Pretty impressive and the quality of the work looked great.

I was impressed and know it's a place I would go to get work done agin.

I am glad they could fit you in and hope the service you get is as good as I got.

Regards

Trevor
